(Jeannine Gailey, Lesley Wheeler, Sally Kindred, Nancy Hightower, Margaret Rhee) This cross-genre panel celebrates women’s lively contributions to the male-dominated fields of speculative fiction and poetry. These authors, editors, and critics discuss recent changes and controversies in fantasy and science fiction, addressing how women are represented in the literature; publishing opportunities and challenges; and what it will take to foster women’s voices and support their increasing success.
