Thanks Karen – I’ve seen the news reports about the giant squid, but haven’t been sea-worthy myself with the crutches, so haven’t seen any close up myself or anything. La Jolla is about twenty minutes away – but I didn’t see any on the Carlsbad beaches I visited…
