Yes, we do have more rain on this side of the mountains, that is for sure. Do they have air conditioning over there? That’s one thing I miss in the Seattle area – no air conditioning anywhere, even on the ninenty++ weeks in summer.

As far as moving goes, I heard the weather is crappy over on that side of the mountains right now, might want to think about the east side!
