They publish out of Utah State University. I was lucky enough to have a poem selected for it when it was still Petroglyph. That must have been six years ago.

Do they still use the larger, 8.5 x 11 size? I have not had a chance to submit anything appropriate since they switched name and refined their thematic direction.

I bought a stereo that I couldn’t afford, worried about being gainfully employed, and sent out numerous job applications. I also joined a gym, lost 20lbs, quit smoking, and started sending my manuscript out. You, however, already have a book, so that’s good.

If I were to do it over again . . . I’d apply to fellowships, residencies, grants, etc..

I don’t think I’d be in such a rush to go into academia the second time around, honestly.
