Jeannine – I saw this linked on Twitter and wanted to send you my very best (as well as my prayers). I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but you have so many karma points stored up from having encouraged me with my writing several times — always gracious and insightful. You were supportive when no one else seemed to be, and I will never forget that. I have read your poetry books over and over (they fit perfectly in my Mary Poppins-size purse). The world needs your inimitable poetry and perspective, so you must fight to get well. Again, prayers and good thoughts are with you (and draw upon those you’ve already earned for being nice to this beginning poet who went on to publish in several journals because of your encouragement).
