And doesn’t it make you wonder why we don’t live more quietly and fully all the time? Each time I’ve been forced to withdraw because of illness, I find a certain peace that so often eludes me, and vow to take that lesson forward with me, say “no” more often. It lasts a while as a conscious goal, but then everything becomes interesting again, ‘yes’ my default response, and I’m running crazy again in days like games of Whack-a-Mole in which I’m hitting most but missing some that are really important. I pray for your return to health and a house and all the activities you love. Meanwhile, you remain a superhero, modeling grace and gratitude in this spring engorged world. Love and hugs to you and Glenn.
