Poetry is such an egalitarian genre – even the most famous poets would be hard-pressed to make ends meet solely on the income from their poetry. From teaching and speaking and such, yes, but from poetry sales? And very many poets are known and respected in a community or region but not anywhere to be found on the national scene. Great interview!
