“today my anthro professor said something kind of really beautiful:

“you all have a little bit of ‘I want to save the world’ in you, that’s why you’re here, in college. I want you to know that it’s okay if you only save one person, and it’s okay if that person is you.”

In other words… if writing, reading, hoping, dreaming brings peace to YOUR heart, then please, keep doing it. When you have peace, you radiate it to those both physically around you as a person and those from farther away who discover your words. We all wonder and worry if what we’re doing will have any impact, any point. If it saves just you, it already does. But believe me… I truly think it’s done more than that.
