  • Beautiful! I am going to ask a dumb question. (And perhaps I should know the answer, but I don’t) What exactly is a broadside? An illustration of a poem?

  • Exquisite! How can I get a copy of this lovely boradside?

  • Thanks so much you guys! I’ll post about how to order when I get them printed up…

Karen – broadsides (from wikipedia) have been taken by many small presses and publishers as a fine art offshoot of their work. Most often featuring a letter-press poem and accompanying art of some sort, these are frame-worthy pieces.

  • I get it. Art + Poetry. The two should be together. (I am thinking of those old Reese’s Peanut Butter commercials where the chocolate lands in the peanut butter. I know, bad analogy) Can’t wait to see how I can get a print!

  • Jeanine, I love this broadside. Can I get one somewhere, sometime?

It conjures strange and darkly beautiful memories of childhood reading and play. A flavor of old Disney, (but better)–the imagery I remember from the 60’s and 70’s.

And the poem that goes with it is awesome! (of course)

    xoxo
