  • Hi J9: Who won the book contest? Please backchannel if you can tell.

Re Paul G: I am guessing he is a Pulitzer Finalist. Thay boy is on a roll!

  • Talk about being a tease? When can you say who won the book contest? …

Can’t help much with the other questions you asked…in reference to prose poetry, do you have the anthology edited by David Lehman titled Great American Prose Poems? The Intro is rather helpful….

  • Oh, shoot, it turns out it was a big contest for a single poem, not a book – whoops! But it’s still a big prize – with a reading trip attached – good times!

Peter – wouldn’t that be cool for Paul?
Karen – yes, I’ve already quoted Lehman in my article 😉

  • The Pedestal pays for reviews, and I suspect you would fit right in.

As to prose poems, do you have anything about Kafka’s “Parables”? Discussions of prose poems often miss Kafka, because his are usually categorized as (very short) “fiction,” but they are also an important source for Surrealists and Simic, etc.
